Ewalt said Cromwell Community Center and Glenwood Community Center are two potential alternative sites for a dedicated senior center. The city shared those plans with the Eastgate Senior Center advisory board June 23. "We are working through a comprehensive plan and an aggressive timeline to accomplish that." "Through conversations that we have had with many of you over the course of the last two years, it has become clear that we have an opportunity to provide a dedicated facility that we can better customize to meet your needs using the dollars saved from the lease at Eastgate," Chief Operating Officer Ryan Ewalt wrote in an email to center users. Chattanooga officials intend to "transition away" from using Eastgate Town Center off Brainerd Road as the site of its senior center and explore alternative locations for those services. ![]()
